Hello everyone,
Today I have brought very important information for you which can help secure personal messages,
images or videos. Recently Pegasus spyware was discovered on
WhatsApp/Telegram, How WhatsApp Spyware was stealing user’s personal data. You might have watched in News channels. How we can calibrate WhatsApp settings which
most people avoid to keep our data safe. I have explained steps to safeguard ourselves
from spywares and recent WhatsApp finger lock/Unlock update. How to set it and use it. Let’s start video. How does Pegasus come into your phone? In May 2019, WhatsApp identified that a bug
in the app’s call function was used to install a malicious malware code into users’ phones. On October 29, it identified the malicious
code as Pegasus, a spyware developed by an Israeli company, NSO. How does Pegasus come into your phone? The code is transmitted by calling the target
phone on WhatsApp. The code enters the phone even if the call
is not answered. The log of that call gets erased so victim
has no clue. This is only one of the ways of delivering
Pegasus. It notes several other cases such as alarming
SMSs that prompt targets to click on a link. You should check link before clicking as it
should be from trusted contact. What does Pegasus do? Once installed, Pegasus can send the target’s
contacts, calendar events, phone calls on and messages on communication apps like WhatsApp
and Telegram to the spyware’s controller. It could steal messages from even services
that offer encryption because it was taking the messages before the encryption process. Encryption means message get coded before
sending to receiver. The controller can also turn the phone into
a spying device by switching on its camera or microphone. WhatsApp settings to keep data safe? Apple’s iOS security update 9.3.5 take care
of the vulnerability exploited by Pegasus. Google, says it identifies infected Android
phones and disable the malware and informs the targets. How to set Fingerprint lock/unlock feature
in WhatsApp? Click on top 3 dots then settings now click
account then privacy tab and scroll down to set fingerprint feature. It provide three options. Set it to 3 settings available according to
your convenience. Now click on security tab and by default “end
to end encryption” is on but you should enable show security notification to let you
know when contact’s security code is changed. Then proceed to Two-step verification for
beefing up security further. It will ask you PIN when registering your
phone number with WhatsApp again. It will protect from hackers hacking WhatsApp
by changing phone number. And most important thing is to keep WhatsApp updated as update Is pushed
on Google play store for android users and on App store for IOS devices and also take
OEM security patches. Pegasus spyware has affected many Human rights
activists in India, so these setting will definitely prevent any future spyware attacks. Don’t click any link came from unknown source. Don’t forget to like and subscribe. Thank you.
